The Chipolopolo boys jetted in last night from Ivory Coast after their Group H encounter against Ivory Coast played in Yamoussoukro on Friday and will now focus on Tuesday’s game against Comoros. Coach Aljosa Asanovic’s bullets arrived aboard a chartered Air Coted’voire flight that jetted in at 23:30 hours on Saturday.

The team was welcomed home by the Zambia Sports Fans Association president and FAZ life member Pastor Peter Makembo with his band at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Makembo said the fans were looking forward to a redemption contest on Tuesday against Comoros at National Heroes Stadium. He said “regardless of the 3-1 loss on match day one of the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the fans were fully behind the squad”.
