Vice President Mutale Nalumango says government has no power to interfere with what embassies are doing.

This followed a question from Mpika Member of parliament Francis Kapyanga who wanted to know what action Government has taken against the embassies that flew the LGBT flags in support of gay rights.

Mrs Nalumango said during her question for oral answer session in Parliament today that the New Dawn Administration has been clear on the matter, adding that it has never changed its stance.

On the AFRICOM debate, the Vice President said there is no need to politicize the establishment of the US Africa Command office in Zambia.

She said the office being created is one for Security Cooperation.

Mrs Nalumango explained that the said office will be based at the US Embassy in Lusaka.
