Minister of Transport and Logistics Frank Tayali has confirmed Government’s plans to revamp commuter train services in Lusaka, which effectively means that there will not be any clemency for those with structures on land belonging to Zambia Railways.
As for the Richard Kachingwe Community Police Station, it will be demolished.
According to Zambia Daily Mail, Mr Tayali says it is unfortunate that previous leaders allowed the construction of a police station on illegal land.
The Planning Appeals Tribunal recently ruled that Lusaka City Council (LCC) should go ahead and demolish structures built on the rail line which include the police station .
