Margaret Nakombe Mubanga a 61 year old woman of Mufulira, married with six children is currently in grade 10 at Mufulira School of Continuing Education.
“I dropped out of school after getting married at the early age of 18,” she told Radio Icengelo’s Patrick Mupeta.
“I have gone back to school to inspire the girl child. I want to see all the girls who dropped out of school to go back,” Mrs Mubanga said.
She has refused to be demoralized by negative comments from her neighbours.
“When I am going to school people in the neighborhood pass negative comments saying what does she want to achieve at this advanced age but I don’t get discouraged because I know what I want to achieve in life,” Mrs Mubanga said.
