COMMERCE minister Chipoka Mulenga has been named as Africa Public Sector magazine’s ‘minister of the week’.
According to the Nigerian magazine, the highly-rated ‘APS Minister of the Week’ is a weekly review of the performances of African ministers.
It is made of high scrutiny and data analysis of the ministers.
Chipoka is rated as one of the best ministers in Zambia owing to his developmental policies and initiatives which have contributed massively to the growth of the country’s trade and commerce.
Chipoka, who has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Entrepreneurship and a Diploma in Surveying, has been able to formulate policies that have created multiple jobs.
The magazine states that Chipoka recently represented Vice-President Mutale Nalumango to launch the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Zambia (CCCZ), to enhance interaction between the Zambian and Chinese business communities.
It further states that he also launched the first-ever EU-Zambia Economic Forum 2022 in Lusaka under the theme ‘Economic Transformation through Green Growth’ to promote economic activities.
According to the magazine, the minister’s policies have brought together a wide range of entrepreneurs, experts, financial institutions, innovators and policy decision-makers from Zambia and countries from across the world.
