Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) Provisional Liquidator Celine Nair has assured employees at the mining firm that their jobs are safe.
Speaking after concluding an induction tour of KCM Nampundwe Mine located in Shibuyunji District, Central Province, Ms Nair urged employees to work extra hard to enhance operations.
She said the New Dawn Administration will facilitate efforts to continue operations adding that workers at Nampundwe Mine to ramp up the monthly production of the mineral Pyrite, from 2500 tonnes to 5000 by October this year in view of key investments at the mine.
Meanwhile, the Provisional Liquidator disclosed that an export market for the mineral to Congo DRC is being explored.
