President Hakainde Hichilema says as his administration seeks accelerated economic recovery, access to reliable electricity will be a key priority.
According to Zambia Daily Mail, Mr Hichilema said electricity should be adequate, safe, reliable, affordable and, most importantly, accessible to the vast majority of the Zambians.
“Electricity is what will make business easy for that welder at Maramba market, restaurant owner at Chisokone market, marketeer at Soweto market, and the avocado farmer in Muchinga Province pursuing the export market or indeed any small, medium and large enterprise that is working so hard to create employment opportunities and sustainable livelihoods.
