Dear 30,496 Teachers…

This is just a friendly advise. I have been everywhere in the world and I can say I have seen it all.

If you are selected today and God has given you an opportunity to serve then here is my personal advise.

Do not post on your Facebook announcing to the world that you made it.

In life let others announce you. In life learn to work in silence. In life not everyone will celebrate your success.

There is a time for everything.

You can tell those close to you. Those who really matter. Those who stood in the gap for you. If you decide to announce then it is your prerogative.

But wait until you actually start work and you reach your posting then maybe you can tell us to visit you or something.

Jealousy is real and always minimize your exposure to that. Silence is golden in life.

Sometimes let people believe their own lies while you smile in the background. Never expose all your plans to the world.

Don’t forget witchcraft is also real. Someone may not be happy for you and they will do all they can to frustrate you.

Congratulations once again but please consider my suggestions.

And to those who may not make it also don’t go online to start complaining. Once there were two men who did not make it for an interview. They lost.

Upon hearing this one took to social media to complain and condemned the company for all kinds of accusations including nepotism and all. Another kept quiet and kept going.

Unfortunately the person who was selected failed to take the place due to personal reasons.

The HR committee had to select one from the previous best two. The 2nd best was the one who took to social media to bad mouth the company. The 3rd best was the one who was quiet. He got the job.

Do you know that being number last is also being number one somewhere else? It depends on how you count or from where you start counting.

Take defeat graciously.

God bless.
