COACH Aljosa Asanovic says Zambia will take the risk of playing to win Saturday’s 2023 Algeria African Nations Championship (CHAN) first round return leg against Mozambique at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
On Sunday, Zambia held Mozambique to a scoreless draw in Maputo to leave the second leg everything to play for as both teams seek progression to the final round, where Malawi are waiting.
Asanovic said in an interview on Sunday that the Chipolopolo played well but became nervous when they wasted a myriad of scoring chances.
“We started the game very well; we dominated and had control of the game. We had a lot of chances to score but we did not score and in the second half we became nervous and we had problems,” he said.
Asanovic said Zambia were unlucky in most portions of the game. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
