Government says it is in the process of overhauling the country’s school curriculum to meet the demands of the 21st century.

According to ZNBC News, Minister of Education Douglas Syakalima says experts are looking at how best the curriculum can be revamped so that it produces learners who can compete globally.

Mr Syakalima also says there is need to teach practical lifeskills in schools as opposed to the current system churing out pupils who are reliant on government for jobs.

He says currently the education system is producing pupils who do not possess skills that can enable them survive on their own after leaving school.

Mr. Syakalima was speaking to ZNBC News in an interview.
