83-year-old Ackson Banda of Chief Mnukwa’s area In Chipata District has been nabbed by police for allegedly defiling his four-year-old granddaughter.
According to a report published by ZNBC, acting Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Divies Simwanza has revealed that, Banda took advantage of the absence of the victim’s mother and defiled her granddaughter.
“The victim informed her mother that her private parts were paining after she got back”, Mr Simwanza said.
He says the mother discovered that her daughter had semen on her private parts.
Mr. Simwanza says the girl disclosed that the suspect took her to his house and had carnal knowledge of her.
He says the incident occurred on Saturday between 06:00 hours and 08:30 hours.
