The Chipolopolo boys today will aim to shoot down the Eagles of Mali before their home fans at the Stade Du 26 Mars this evening (Monday) in the second of two international friendly matches.
With the first match ending 1-0 in favour of the host nation, today will be an opportunity for the Moses Sichone led Zambia National Soccer Team to end their Bamako tour in a high note.
Skipper Roderick Kabwe will have to keep his troops on their toes especially at the back where a constant threat from Southampton winger Moussa Ndjenepo, Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Yvess Bissouma, Amadou Haidara (Red bull Leipzig) and Sekou Koita (Red bull Salzburg) among others.
However, the Zambians did prove their mettle in the first match and is expected to unlock the Eagles through Fashion Sakala, Kings Kangwa and Edward Chilufya. The midfield could be hinged on the mastery of Emmanuel Banda and Miguel Chaiwa who settled seamlessly in his holding role.
At the back Tandi Mwape and Frankie Musonda could continue bonding although Dominic Chanda and Allan Kapila may be given a running.
Benedict Chepeshi and Kabwe may retain their places in the rear set up.
The divers’ role is heavily contested with Lawrence Mulenga who was between the sticks in Friday’s game facing off fit-again Toaster Nsabata and Charles Kalumba.
Coach Sichone has enough attack power options in Kelvin Kampamba, Joshua Mutale and Ricky Banda while other options at the back include Luka Chamanga and Shemmy Mayembe.
