Lusaka City Council (LCC) has unearthed a scam involving K5 million which has allegedly led to the disappearance of more than five computer hard drives containing vital information from the audit department.
Some employees have appealed to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to take keen interest in the operations of LCC by investigating the audit and finance departments.
Some senior and junior internal auditors have been implicated in the scandal, and the theft of the hard drives was pre-meditated to cover up their tracks. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
