A house near Choma Prisons caught fire Friday morning in yet to be established circumstances.
Tenant of the house, Yokobeth Mumba, reveals to a Byta FM News team that visited the scene that she left home around 10hrs, only to receive a call from her neighbors 40 minutes later informing her of the fire.
Mumba, who is a Prisons Officer, notes that she had not left anyone home at the time as her children where at school.
And owner of the house, Eneles Machila Munasabila, who was visibly shaken by the incident, lamented that the structure was a source of her income.
Meanwhile, Choma Municipal Council Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Cosam Chapo, indicated that his team is still investigating the cause of the fire that started from one of the bedrooms.
Chapo noted that not much property was lost in the fire due to the quick response by his team to extinguish it. This is contained in a report published by Byta FM.
