Defence Minister AMBROSE LUFUMA has commissioned Agricultural and Earth-Moving Equipment for Zambia National Service -ZNS- worth over 18 million Kwacha.
Mr LUFUMA has also flagged off wheat harvesting for 2022 in all Zambia National Service farms countrywide.
Speaking during the event, the defence minister said the new combine harvesters will help to enhance harvesting of soya beans and maize.
Mr LUFUMA also said Government is delighted that the additional procurement of earth moving machines will help to grade roads especially in rural areas.
Meanwhile, Zambia National Service commander Lieutenant General MALICHI SOLOCHI says ZNS had adopted an ambitious programme of replacing some of the aging and not so durable equipment in order to be efficient.
