TANZANIA national team coach Honour Janza and former Napsa Stars boss Mohammed Fathi have applied for the Chipolopolo job that was left vacant following the resignation of Aljosa Asanovic in August this year.
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) on Monday released an advert outlining the requirements and qualifications for the Chipolopolo coach, indicating that foreign applicants must possess a UEFA Pro Licence.
The association, however, encouraged local coaches with national team experience with at least 10 years’ international football experience at adolescent and senior levels to also apply.
Janza holds a UEFA B diploma, CAF A diploma and CAF instructor certificate, as well as a diploma in human resources.
And Fathi said he took his application to Football House on Tuesday.
He said he wants to contribute to the success of the Chipolopolo.
“As a local coach, I want to contribute to the success of the Zambia national team. I want to contribute to the success of my country. I love my country,” Fathy said.
He guided Napsa to the Confederation Cup group stage in the 2020/2021 season. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily mail.
