A 36 year old woman of Soweto compound in Lusaka has allegedly been murdered by her husband.
The woman identified as Jelin Mwandila of Soweto compound was picked up by George Police Post.

According to police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, the incident is alleged to have occurred between 7th November, 2022 around 22:00 hours and 8th November, 2022at around 10:00 hours.
Brief facts of the matter are that the mother to the deceased went to visit her daughter and upon arrival she found her laying unconscious that is when she alerted the landlord who came and checked the victim. After Physical inspection, the body was found with a cut on the head and the husband was not found at home.
Police have instituted investigations into the matter.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at University Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting Post Mortem and burial.
