A four year old girl of Lusaka’s Chainda compound has died after drowning in a septic tank while a three year old has survived the accident.
Speaking to Camnet news, the residents have explained that the two children fell in a septic tank at a named bar when they were playing on top of the tank which was covered with iron sheets.
The residents explain that the three year old was safely rescued by the residents but that the four year old was unlucky as she was already dead by the time the officers from the Lusaka City Council (LCC) Fire Brigade department retrieved her.
The two children are both from the same household. This is contained in a report published by Camnet TV.
