“““OVER K17 million was collected from Lusaka Intercity Bus Terminus from January to September this year, compared to K10.5 million collected during the same period in 2020.
The increase in revenue collection has been attributed to the non involvement of political cadres in managing the affairs of the bus station.
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary – Technical Services Nicholas Phiri said K14.6 million was collected during the same period last year.
“Clearly, this improvement is a testimony that the council is in full control of the operations of the said bus Station. This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily mail.
