Patriotic Front – PF Presidential Candidate Brian Mundubile says Local Government and Rural Development Minister Gary Nkombo is on point, in telling his colleagues in the United Party for National Development (UPND) to stop blaming PF instead of delivering.
Mr. Mundubile, who is also Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, saluted Mr. Nkombo for issuing a truthful statement, adding that the Minister was cut from a different cloth.
“I wish to agree with Local Government Minister Honourable Gary Nkombo’s statement carried by the Wednesday edition of the News Diggers Newspaper and I agree with him in totality, despite the comment coming later than anticipated,” he said.
Mr. Mundubile said the UPND had raised false hopes among Zambians that they were ready to deliver development immediately they won.
“You will realize that when the UPND were campaigning, they did so on the basis that they were going to address the many challenges that Zambians were facing. In short, they gave an impression that they understood the assignment that was going to be before them,” he said.
Mr. Mundubile said Zambians were now fatigued after learning that the UPND had focused on a disturbing path of blaming the PF instead of delivering on their promises.
“Therefore, Zambians did not expect them to get into office and start playing the blame game. They expected them to start delivering immediately. Now that Honourable Nkombo has realized that Zambians are simply fatigued with the blame game that the UPND had embarked on, I wish to agree with him. I wish to state that he may be the only gentleman under the UPND who is cut from a different cloth,” he said.
News Diggers newspaper, on Wednesday, 11th January 2023, quoted Local Government and Rural Development Minister Garry Nkombo telling the New Dawn Government to stop the blame game and focus on fixing things.
