PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says it is a shame for Africa to be experiencing hunger when the continent is endowed with arable land which should be fully utilised to spur economic growth.
The President says African leaders, the business community and farmers on the continent “must accept the shame” and wash it away and change the narrative for posterity’s sake.
Mr Hichilema, who was among the nine heads of State on the panel, used the occasion to stress the need for Africa to rid itself of the shame of experiencing hunger in the midst of plenty.This is contained in a report published by Zambia Daily Mail.
