A 57-year-old man from Choma’s Kabanana Compound has taken his own life by hanging himself on a tree within his yard.
According to a report published by Byta FM, Davis Mulenga was in the early hours of Monday morning found hanging to a tree by his two grandchildren on their way to school.
Southern Province Commanding Police Officer, Paul Achiume, who confirmed the development to Byta FM News, explains that the deceased had left home for his daily business routine around 04:30 Hours on the material day.
Achiume discloses that around 07:30 Hours when his two grandchildren were leaving for school, they saw the body hanging from a tree and proceed to inform their grandmother.
He says the body has been deposited in the Choma General Hospital as the reasons for taking his own life are yet to be known.
