A minbus has been burnt extensively after a Volvo Tanker truck which was carrying 45,000 litres of Petrol which was destined for Vivo Energy in Mungwi road caught fire.

All the passengers on board the bus managed to escape unhurt, however police has launched investigations to establish the actual cause of fire.

According to police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale, the vehicle is suspected to have caught fire after the spare wheel underneath the Tanker hit the ground at the gate area where the terrain is not good.

He said after parking the truck, some residents in the surrounding area started looting the fuel. This is contained in a report published by Mwebantu.
