What is happening at the Ministry of Finance with regard to the issue of allowances is very regrettable.
Some people have been transferred and some are being subjected to investigations.
The whistleblower in this? A beneficiary of the same allowances which she actually even requested for. We have reliable information on all this.
We have been reliably informed by our sources that Joyce Sundano, the Controller of Internal Audit, as one of the beneficiaries of the same allowances, is the whistleblower in the matter.
Some of you may be aware that the matter in question has of late ignited heavy debate as some stakeholders have labeled the transfers as “illegal.”
Here is why we share the view that the matter in question is mere witch hunt:
- The allowances were duly approved by PAC and the Secretary to the Cabinet. What is disturbing is that the same Joyce Sundano drew the same allowances and now she wants to through mud on the others. This is because she is eyeing the Auditor General position.
As clearly seen in the documents, there is also Ringo Zulu, who has not been affected or suspended despite being a beneficiary of the same. We urge the authorities to stop the witchhunt and turn their attention on development and looming debt restructuring process.
This rumor about allowances is damaging the country’s reputation unnecessarily and is likely to affect the current progress that the country is making.
And now coming to the new KZ who is Mrs Sundano’s ally: the sources have informed us of something not good at all.
Our sources have reliably informed us that the new KZ at State House has allegedly done, among other shocking things, these below:
- The New KZ CB collected money from ETG to facilitate fertilizer contracts and meetings with the President. He travelled to South Africa last year and a record is there.
- He collected money from Kalandanya and has offered to use his position to protect him from prosecution over the road Contruction contract, acts he did not perform.
- He collected money from Milingo Lungu and offered to use his position to protect him from all the wrongs that he did as a liquidator.
- He collected money over the Ghanaian Teachers and called the IG to stop investigations into this matter. The IG has this in his report.
And lastly for you, the new KZ is using the issue of allowances at Ministry of Finance to remove innocent workers and place his own people in those positions.
