National team coach Avram Grant says defender Aime Mabika is part of his plans and hopes the naturalisation documents will be ready before Zambia takes on Lesotho in the 2023 Ivory Coast Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next week.
Zambia host Lesotho in the first leg at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium next Thursday and three days later travel to South Africa for the return fixture at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.
Grant said that Mabika is a good player everyone would want to see don Chipolopolo colours.
“We are still waiting for the passport for Mabika, which I am sure everybody is doing their effort that he will play for us.
He is a good player. We don’t know what is happening with Mabika but we will deal with this.
