(ZNBC) Four people have been arrested, on the Copperbelt, for possession of counterfeit money.
The suspects, who were apprehended at a shopping mall in Kitwe, were found with 12,700 United States dollars and 89,500 Kwacha.
Drug Enforcement Commission Spokesperson, HUSSEIN KHAN identifying the suspects as JOSEPH MPUNDU 63, of Mufulira, and JOHN LUMBWE, aged 30 of Kasama.
Others are ELISHA LONDWE 32, of Ndola and MATHEWS SANDWE 45, of Chiengi.
Mr KHAN said a search of the Toyota Corolla they were in a led to the discovery of the counterfeit notes.
He said that the counterfeit notes and vehicle have been seized.
The four are detained in custody and will appear in court soon.
