Copper Queens Vice-captain Grace Chanda is determined to return to the national team after recovering from an illness that caused her to miss the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Chanda the 2022 CAF Women’s Player of the Year finalist appreciated the well-wishes and support from Kamanga and FAZ.
Speaking when FAZ President Andrew Kamanga visited her in Hamilton, New Zealand, where she is currently recuperating, Chanda confidently said she will be back.
She said she is looking forward to rejoining her teammates and contributing to their continued success on the field.
And, Kamanga has expressed support and encouragement, assuring Chanda that she remains a vital part of the Copper Queens set up.
He said Chanda has a crucial role in the upcoming national assignments after the World Cup, including the Olympic qualifiers and Africa Cup qualifiers.
