Five people have died while two others are seriously injured after a road accident on the Sabina Mufulira road near Kansuswa Bridge.
Copperbelt Police commissioner Peacewell Mweemba has confirmed the accident to ZNBC News in Kitwe.
Mr Mweemba said the vehicles involved were a Volvo truck and trailer, Mistubishi Canter and Nissan passenger Bus which was carrying 14 passengers.
He said the accident happened when the driver of the Volvo truck misjudged the speed of the Canter and hit it.
The driver of the Canter lost control and in the process hit into the passenger bus which was coming from the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, Mufurila District Commissioner, Saboi Kabika disclosed that about 7 other passenger’s sustained slight injuries and were treated and discharged from Kamuchanga Hospital.
