Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo has warned some UPND cadres who are reportedly harassing marketers in markets in Ndola District, defying the presidential directive to end caderism in trading places.

Mr. Matambo tells Phoenix News that the president’s directive to end caderism in trading places still stands and warns that the party will not tolerate any members defying this order.

Mr. Matambo who is also UPND Copperbelt Chairman has warned party cadres to desist from involving themselves in the running of markets, saying anyone who will be found wanting will be disciplined.

Recently, some traders at Kapalala market in Ndola Masala area have complained that UPND cadres have taken over the running of the Ndola City Council in the market and are harassing traders who are undermining or questioning their return to the market.
