A m£ntal disorder patient of Ndola has been apprehended by police for allegedly d£filing a woman who also has a m£ntal condition.
The suspect only identified as Dominic Domi aged between 30 and 35 was caught having s£xual intercourse with the woman near the Kafue River.
Copperbelt Commanding Officer, Peacewell Mweemba has confirmed the incident to NKANI saying, Dominic was found by a motorist, having carnal knowledge of the woman.
Mweemba explains that, a report was made by Isaac Kanguya who heard the woman shouting for help as he was driving near the Kafue River.
“Isaac then decided to park his car and as he got close to the river, he saw a man having carnal knowledge of the woman, Mweemba further explains.
“We therefore received a report from Isaac that a male person was found having carnal knowledge with a woman who is suspected to have a m£ntal disorder adding that the man is also suspected to be m£ntally ill,” Mweemba further reveals.
“The suspect was later picked and taken to Ndola central police station”, Mweemba adds.
