The Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) has called on the government to prioritize development in the Western Province, emphasizing the need for improved infrastructure in the region.
Ngambela Mukela Manyando, the Prime Minister of the BRE, expressed concerns that the Western Province was neglected by the previous government in terms of infrastructure development. He made these remarks during a courtesy call by the Minister of Infrastructure, Charles Milupi, at Lealui Kuta.
Ngambela Manyando urged the current administration to address the developmental disparities and ensure that Western Province receives the attention it deserves.
In response, Mr. Milupi assured the BRE of the government’s commitment to spreading development evenly across the country. He stated that efforts are underway to ensure that Western Province is not only developed but also opened up for economic activities, which will benefit the local population.
