The Mushili Women’s Club has taken significant strides towards sustainable income generation and environmental conservation by launching a beekeeping project with improved beehives.
Chairperson Catherine Nanyangwe recently inspected the new beehives, highlighting the club’s commitment to innovative agricultural practices that both support livelihoods and protect the environment.
In addition to beekeeping, the club has successfully drilled its first solar-powered borehole, a pioneering initiative that includes the installation of a water reservoir tank. This new infrastructure will enable the women to carry out gardening activities throughout the year, ensuring consistent productivity regardless of seasonal changes.
These initiatives mark a major milestone for the Mushili Women’s Club as they continue to empower their community through sustainable development.
