SIX people have died in a road traffic accident in Kasama while four others suffered injuries after the vehicle they were on was hit by a truck whose driver is believed to have been drunk.
This happened on Sunday around 15:00 hours on the Kasama-Luwingu road.
The six people who died were in a Toyota Ipsum which was being driven by Elijah Katuta, 35.
Northern Province police commanding officer Lucky Buumba said the truck was being driven by Jonathan Mulenga, 41, of Ndola.
“The accident happened when the truck driver, who was driving under the influence of alc0h0l, failed to keep to his lane and collided with the other vehicle,” Ms Buumba said.
