When you go to tiktok, Facebook and other media platforms, there is no song that is making rounds as much as “akolwa” is doing right now.

The song is a breath of fresh air, considering that it has been long since Chanda na Kay gave the country such a banger.

However, there has been controversy bordering on the ownership of the song which featured another “talented” artist called Challenger.

Responding to claims, the music duo took to its Facebook page and challenged the “ungrateful” Challenger to write another hit song if he indeed is a good artist.

The two artists also narrated what happened saying “we recently collaborated with an ungrateful artist who approached us with a song containing explicit content. To protect our brand, we declined to contribute a verse. We gave him one of our beats to rewrite a better song, but he failed to deliver,” read the post.

“We took pity on him and featured him on one of our tracks instead. Now, he’s claiming ownership of the song’s success. Deep down in his heart, he knows he didn’t write that song – na Lesa Alekumona wechipondo. However, we wish him well, and if he’s genuinely talented, he’ll write another hit song.”
