Senior Chief Anang’anga Imwiko of the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) says there is currently no strong opposition capable of unseating the UPND government in next year’s elections.
The traditional leader stated that Edgar Lungu and his Tonse team have repeatedly attempted to build a strong opposition but have failed each time.
Speaking on Saturday when Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, Charles Milupi, paid a courtesy call at his palace, Senior Chief Imwiko questioned why previous governments had not implemented the kind of programs currently being undertaken by the UPND.
“From what I know personally, I think the UPND government is doing a good job, a very great job. Congratulations to our President”, He said.
