(ZANIS) – ZESCO has uncovered a criminal syndicate involved in the theft of transformers worth K10 million in Masaiti district on the Copperbelt.
A joint team of ZESCO security personnel and State Police discovered 20 stolen transformers buried underground at a farm in the Mundawanga area of Masaiti.
ZESCO Spokesperson Matongo Maumbi has described the theft as the worst in the company’s history.
