A 3-year-old child in Chikankata district of Southern province has been d£filed by a man between 19 and 21 identified as Verger Chiyabu of Malala village, Southern province Commissioner of police Auxensio Daka says the incident occurred on Sunday at around 08:30 hours at Hangwele Village.
Daka says the victim was left with her 12-year-old brother as both their parents had gone to the field, when the suspect came and got the victim and took her to his house.
Daka explains that the elder brother to the victim heard her crying in the house and when he went to check, he found the suspect nak£d, dressing the victim trying to calm her down.
He said the witness then ran to the field and reported the matter to his parents who quickly rushed home and only found the victim crying as the suspect had run away.
He adds that the victim was then rushed to Malabo Police Post where a medical report was issued.
No arrest has been made yet and investigations into the matter have been instituted.
