President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is in Bweengwa – Monze District ahead of the installation ceremony of Common Wealth Secretary General PATRICIA SCOTLAND as head woman.
President HICHILEMA whose chopper landed at Bweengwa Primary School grounds at 10:55 is accompanied by First Lady MUTINTA HICHILEMA.
Mr. HICHILEMA who is in the district for a working visit was received by Southern Province Minister CREDO NANJUWA, Local Government Minister GARRY NKOMBO, Information Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA, Members of Parliament in the Province, Senior government and UPND officials.
The occasion will mark the recognition of Ms. SCOTLAND’s contributions to peace and development in Zambia.
Senior Chief HAMUSONDE will bestow upon Ms. SCOTLAND the honorary title of “Daughter of Senior Chief HAMUSONDE in acknowledgment of her role as the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth and her global leadership in promoting humanity.
