‘I NEED to show the youngies who the boss is,” says K’ Millian, a celebrated musician who has over the past 20 years given Zambians timeless soul music.
K’ Millian, whose real name is Leo Moyo, with a huge catalogue of songs and 13 albums, has earned respect in the Zambian music space, becoming a household name with his relatable love songs.
However, even though he has a relatively private social life, drama seems to follow him.
He has had issues which have in the past sent bloggers and netizens talking on their socials, such as allegations that he has eaten the famous ‘Chilanga Mulilo’ without intentions of entering into marriage, as well as an incident when he allegedly refused to pay a taxi driver.
Featuring on Prime TV’s ‘In Your Face’ programme last week, the ‘Waona nawama manje’ hit-maker addressed the issues in question, including those surrounding pledges made by people to help him financially.
Regarding the pledges, he disclosed that one of Zambia’s biggest music stars, Yo Maps, pledged to assist him with K70,000, but never fulfilled his pledge.
He said none of the people who pledged to donate money to him did, though he has not taken the issue to heart.
On the viral negative stories on him, the artist lamented that such stories get to him because he is a father, a brother and uncle, adding that such are embarrassing to his family.
Addressing the taxi story, K’millian narrated that he booked Yango with a full intention of paying.
