PARTY for National Unity and Progress (PNUP) president Highvie Hamududu has described the macro-economic framework under President Hakainde Hichilema as progressive.
He said this is evidenced by the recent Moody’s rating.
Mr Hamududu, who is also former chairperson of the Budget Estimates Committee, said Zambia’s full economic recovery will be assured if it consistently sticks to the macro-economic reforms.
“But before we even get to Moody’s, the key drivers of economic recovery are receiving positive due attention, that is, debt restructuring, rebooting of the mining sector and electricity energy diversification and investment drive, improved f iscal management,” he said.
Mr Hamududu, however, said there is still need for some work on improving public service delivery.
