A Chinese National of Chingola District has died after succumbing to injuries he sustained during a fight with a fellow Chinese after a drinking spree.
According to the Copperbelt Commanding Officer, Pethias Siandenge, the suspect whose details not yet known and the deceased engaged in a fight after a drinking spree at around 9 hours.
Mr. Siandenge , said a crime officer at Chingola Police Post identified as inspector Kakoma was called by hospital authorities at Kitwe Teaching Hospital to the effect that there was a brought by fellow Chinese from Chingola.
The Commanding Officer, said the officer quickly rushed to the hospital and found the body of a Chinese national of middle age and upon making inquiries from the people that brought the body, it was established that the late Chinese and the Chinese that brought him stays in Chingola.
Mr. Siandenge, further explained that after the fight the suspects rush the deceased to Kitwe without reporting the matter to Chingola Police Station and the deceased died on the way after succumbing from the injuries he sustained.
The body of the deceased is currently in the mortuary at Kitwe Teaching Hospital.
