An unknown number of people narrowly escaped death in a fatal road traffic accident at Zambia Sugar Traffic Lights along the Kaonga Bypass Road.
The vehicle nearly rammed into a church before flipping over.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the driver of a heavy-duty truck failed to negotiate the corner and veered off the road.
A Byta FM News crew that rushed to the scene found a combined team of fire brigade officers, Zambia Police traffic officers, and members of the public trying to rescue passengers who were still trapped.
