The Mongu High Court has sentenced Wamunyima Liswaniso to 20 years imprisonment for murdering Senior Induna Inete, Mwangelwa Akapelwa, who was shót deád at his residence in Salambango Village, Limulunga District, on the night of March 17, 2024.
Facts before court revealed that the late traditional leader was shót from behind while locking his vehicle after returning from the fields.
Liswaniso was later arrested in Mongu, where he was found hiding at a traditional healer’s home. Police also recovered a shótgun believed to have been used in the kílling.
