Meet a five-year-old girl, picked from the drainages. Scard of sm0king ballstick drúģ that clouds the streets, she moves alone, scavénging for food and picking scraps to survive. During her interview, she stood quietly, eyes filled with tears, asking not for toys or comfort, but simply for something to eat.

Her mother spends her nights in bars, leaving Peggy to wander the streets alone, barred from entering the places her mother frequents. With nowhere safe to go, Peggy made roadside pits and drainages her shelter. Her tiny feet are scárred from rât bítes, and her days are spent searching for leftóvers just to stay alíve.

A kind stranger found her in one of those pits, hungry and forgotten. He shared how Peggy’s mother had abandoned her completely-no food, no shelter, no family to turn to. Her resilience is a silent cry for help-a plea for love, safety, and the chance to be a child again.

Later it was discovered that Peggy is a biological sister of two girls recently taken into the care of Social Welfare. She is from a different Father, but same mother.

Let us share this story not just with urgency, but with purpose, until it reaches the hearts of those who can truly make a difference.
