Copperbelt University (CBU) management has pardoned over 30 students who were recently expelled from the higher learning institution for cheating during a test.
According to a letter dated August 19, 2025, written by CBU vice-chancellor Imasiku Nyambe and addressed to the affected students, management resolved to revise the penalty from expulsion to reinstatement.
In July this year, 32 second year students pursuing Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance under the School of Business were expelled for allegedly cheating in a test.
Aggrieved by the expulsion, the affected students appealed to the office of the vice chancellor.
In response to the appeal, Professor Nyambe said the case had undergone a comprehensive review.
