Strong winds have blown off the roof of Kalaba Clinic in Mwawe Ward in Kaputa Constituency.

The incident which happened over the weekend has disrupted the delivery of healthcare services and left residents with no access to medical services.

Mwawe Ward Councillor, Fred Bwalya, who confirmed the matter in Kaputa district in Northern Province, said the incident has also damaged infrastructure at the health facility.

Mr Bwalya said the winds ripped off large portions of the clinic’s roof leaving the wards in the open.

“The roof of two wards is gone, so our patients have nowhere to stay, this will be a challenge for many people that seek health services at the facility as we will not be able to admit patients,” he said.
