A 23-year-old man has allegedly défiled his 6-year-old daughter in Chief Kalindawalo’s Chiefdom in Petauke District of the Eastern Province on allegations of having been denied s£x by his wife.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner Robertson Mweemba confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred yesterday, September 2, 2025, around 17:00 hours.
Brief facts of the matter are that yesterday, September 2, 2025, around 16:00 hours, Boniface Tembo, who works for a named brewery company, reached home drunk.
Mr. Mweemba says Tembo found his daughter and his wife, Scholastica Mwanza, at home, and shortly, the wife went to the market to buy vegetables.
She came back home at around 17:00 hours and found her husband and daughter in the spare bedroom dressing up.
Mr. Mweemba says the mother became suspicious and questioned the husband, who accepted having carnal knowledge of the child, saying that he did it because she was fond of denying him s£x.
The mother later reported the case to the police, and the victim was issued with a police medical report form. Mr. Mweemba says the scene was visited, and the suspect has since been arrested.
The Police Commissioner says he has been charged with the offense of incest and will appear in court soon.
