An 11-Year-Old Girl has died after being hit by a motor vehicle while cycling a búffalò bicycle in Chief Kalindawalo in Petauke District of Eastern Province.
The incident occurred today, 1 September 2025, around 10:00 hours, opposite Molika village along the Minga mission road.
The deceased has been identified as Sara Botha of Kapeza village, who was cycling a bicycle from South to North direction.
The girl sustained fatal head injuries and suspected internal injuries and died upon arrival at the hospital.
The accident happened when the driver, Kalvin Tembo aged 19, of Toyota Corolla lost control of the vehicle due to inexperience.
Mr. Mweemba says in the process, the driver hit the cyclist who was riding in front on the right side off the road.
