As a trailblazing leader and advocate for student welfare, Jemimah is redefining what it means to serve and inspire others.

From passion to purpose: At just 21 years old, she’s already making waves as the vice president of the University of Zambia Students’ Union (UNZASU).

Jemimah’s educational journey began at Don Gordon Trust School for her primary education, followed by Katondwe Girls’ Secondary School (Grades 8-9) and Ndola Girls’ National STEM School (Grades 10-12).

She is currently a third-year Actuarial Science student at the University of Zambia.

Born in Mporokoso, Zambia, Jemimah’s leadership foundation was built through her involvement in her church and student-driven projects.

She served in the Actuarial Science Students Association and participated in initiatives like the Library Awareness Campaign.

These experiences shaped her vision for empowering young leaders and recognizing the value of service.

As Vice President of UNZASU, Jemimah prioritizes student welfare, focusing on sanitation, healthcare, and campus security.

She’s a passionate advocate for women in leadership and has a long-term vision for improving student accommodation.

Her leadership journey is guided by a simple yet powerful mantra: “Leadership is about service, not qualifications or appearances.”

Jemimah has undergone leadership training with Be Relevant Africa, Kectil Global – Zambia Chapter, and is currently completing the WAVE Program (Diamond Incubator, U.S. Embassy).

These experiences have equipped her with the skills and confidence to drive meaningful change.

As a finalist in the Young Actuaries World Cup 2022, Jemimah has demonstrated her expertise and dedication to her craft.

Her vision is to empower young leaders to recognize their potential and become solutions for today’s challenges.

Jemimah’s story serves as a testament to the power of leadership, service, and determination.

As she continues to inspire and empower others, her legacy will undoubtedly shape the future of student leadership in Zambia and beyond.
