TO : MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY, GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA

As the youth activist I urge you to prioritize payment to maize farmers who have sold their produce to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA). It’s unacceptable that these farmers who form the backbone of our agricultural sector are still awaiting payment.

*The Plight of Farmers*

Farmers struggle to make ends meet, and delayed payments exacerbate their hardship. As the government, your prompt action can alleviate their suffering. We request:

– *Immediate Payment*: Release funds to farmers who have sold their maize to FRA without further delay.

– *Streamlined Process*: Implement an efficient payment system to prevent future delays.

– *Sustainable Solutions*: Develop policies that ensure fair prices for farmers and timely payments.*Recommendations for Future Improvement to the government*

1. *Improve Market Access*: Enhance farmers’ access to markets, enabling them to sell their produce at competitive prices.

2. *Sustainable Farming Practices*: Promote and provide resources for sustainable farming practices, ensuring long-term agricultural productivity.

I believe that by working together we can build a more equitable agricultural system. I urge you to take swift action and ensure that our farmers receive the support they deserve.
